BFN – Big Fat Negative

BFP – Big Fat Positive

ED – Egg Donor

EPU – Egg Pick Up

FET – Frozen Embryo Transfer

FS –  Fertility Specialist

FSH – Follicle Stimulating Hormone

GS – Gestational Surrogate (IP’s/Donor’s egg and sperm are used)

GYN – Gynaecologist

HCG Levels – Human Chorionic Gonadatrophin, a hormone only present during pregnancy

ICSI – Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

IF – Intended Father

IM – Intended Mother

IP/s – Intended Parent/s

OB or OBGYN – Obstetrician

OHHS – Ovarian Hyperstimulation

PCOS – Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

SM – Surrogate Mother

TTC – Trying to conceive 

VBAC – Vaginal Birth after a Cesarean

2WW – 2 Week Wait between transfer and a pregnancy test
